Cancel Dominos based on an 8 year old tweet? EIGHT YEARS!! You must be miserable, going through life with so much hate in your souls. Somebody has a different opinion on politics or religion or education or on anything from art to the meaning of life than you do and you’re going to not only hate them, but boycott any companies they buy from?? How stupid does that sound? Are you really going to give somebody else that much control over your life that you will stop buying something you like because the other person shops there? Insurrection
The mayor of Seattle, Washington ceded a portion of an American city that is her responsibility to protect and govern to the mob and allowed them to assert that they had just seceded from the United States of America to become CHAZ – the Capital Hill Autonomous Zone. According to the mayor, it was perfect – it was going to usher in a new “summer of love”. Less than a week later, the name was changed to CHOP – the Capital Hill Occupied Protest. Sounds to me like some lawyers with at least a couple of functioning brain cells decided the original name could be construed as an all-out insurrection – which is illegal and subject to severe penalty under the law (well, duh!) – and now that the new name includes the word protest, that makes it legal. What the fuck is wrong with you people?
What was it Shakespeare said? An insurrection by any other name would still be an insurrection. Or something like that.
Sports
J.J. Watt said kneeling during the national anthem is not disrespectful to the flag. Sorry, Mr. Watt. You’re wrong. Colin Kaepernick, who is largely if not wholly responsible for the kneeling pandemic stated he refused to stand for the flag and the anthem of a country he felt was entirely racist. Disrespect for the flag is exactly what that is. And speaking of old, used up quarterbacks, Brett Favre compared Colin Kaepernick to Pat Tillman. What the fuck is wrong with you people?
And now, the Masters’ Tournament needs a name change because Masters obviously refers to slavery and not an exceptional talent at a particular endeavor. (Snide aside: does that mean Master’s Degrees will also require a name change? Because. Words are violence.) What the fuck is wrong with you people?
Riots & Looting
The Constitution does not guarantee the right to any American, individually or as a group, to a “mostly peaceful” protest; especially since the media has redefined “mostly peaceful” to include arson, rioting, looting, throwing projectiles at the police, resisting arrest. What the fuck is wrong with you people?
