Government cannot inject a single dollar into the economy that it has not first taken out of the very same economy.
— Rep. Tom McClintock of California
Floor Speech given in the House Chamber on June 15, 2010.
and again, July 22, 2010 on the Unemployment Spending Bill
Finally, a voice of reason in Washington, D.C. Representative Tom McClintock gets it. He understands that the Federal Government, despite all wishing to the contrary, cannot simply make money from hot air and magic.
Unfortunately, Mr. McClintock’s voice goes unheeded by the vast majority of the current crop of Grift-resentatives that we have allowed to infest both Houses of OUR Congress.
The spending appears to never stop. Money for health care, more money for unemployment, money to bail out failing businesses with bad business practices, money to subsidize the President’s personal agenda of “Green jobs” (synonymous with “hot air”). And let’s not forget the money the Federal Government is still trying to steal from us with bad science, the global warming hoax that the government wants to use to tax energy production and manufacturing in this country out of existence. Enough all ready!
Thank you, Representative McClintock for taking a stand; for saying No when most of the Grift-Resentatives that you work with are continuously saying yes to more, unsustainable spending.
