About

Words matter. For instance, the United States, contrary to the opinion of some, is not a democracy. We are a representative republic.

A democracy, is always a single step removed from tyranny – the collective will of the mob imposed upon the few; the rule of law subjugated to the cult of personality. A republic is generally more stable and less prone to chase the chimera of sentiment. However, less prone does not mean immune.

You will find that the words on these pages do not lend themselves well to spin, nor to explanations of being taken out of context, nor to subtleties and shades of meaning. Comments, debate, and exchange of ideas is welcome here.
